DX-271 replaces Loctite 271

DX-271 replaces Loctite 271

Product Introduction

DX271 Has the following product characteristics:

technology Acrylic acid
Chemical type Dimethyl methacrylate
Appearance (uncured) Red liquid
Composition Single component - no need to mix
Viscosity low
Curing method Anaerobic accelerator
Advantages of solidification Room temperature curing
Application Thread locking
Strength tall

DX271 is suitable for permanent locking and sealing threaded fasteners. This product solidifies between metal sealing surfaces that isolate oxygen, preventing loosening or leakage caused by vibration or impact. Typical application in large-sized bolts (M25 and larger).

User Guide:

Assembly:

1. To achieve the best results, thoroughly clean the inner and outer surfaces of the material with cleaning agents such as Loctite, and wait for the surface to dry before proceeding to the next step.

2. If the material is non reactive metal or the curing speed is too slow, spray the accelerator on the mating surface and let it dry for 30 seconds.

3. Shake the product thoroughly before use.

4. To prevent the product from blocking the nozzle, do not let the dispensing nozzle touch the metal surface during use.

5. For through holes, apply glue at the joint between the bolt and nut.

6. For blind holes, apply glue to the bottom of the blind hole. During assembly, internal air will be expelled.

7. For sealing applications, apply the product to the external thread (360 °) without applying the first thread, and fill the entire thread gap with adhesive. For larger threads and clearances, the amount of glue can be adjusted and the product can also be applied to the internal threads.

8. Assemble the bolts according to normal operation. Tighten to the required torque.

disassemble:

Heat the assembly parts locally to 250 ° C. Disassemble during heating.

clean:

For solidified glue, it can be soaked in gasket remover DX790 or mechanically polished with tools such as steel brushes.

Precautions:

This product is not suitable for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich environments, and cannot be used as a sealing material for chlorine gas or other strongly oxidizing substances. To prevent children from coming into contact with the product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for information on safe operation of this product. When using cleaning agents to clean the surface of materials, the compatibility between the cleaning agent and the adhesive should be checked. In some cases, the cleaning agents used may affect the curing and performance of the adhesive. This product is not recommended for use on plastics (especially thermoplastic plastics, which may cause cracking). It is recommended to test the compatibility of the product with the material before application.

Storage conditions:

This product should be stored in a dry and cool place, with an ideal storage temperature of 8-28 ℃.

Shelf life: twelve months.
